Hi, I’m Vicky Katzman, a freelance illustrator with a love of native plants, trees and the natural world. I earned my BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, and I bring a naturalist’s perspective to every project - from botanically accurate plant portraits to broader ecological storytelling.
My environmental work includes illustrations for the Native Plant Society of New Jersey, the Feminist Bird Club (Jersey City chapter), Wild in Your Yard, and the Wild Woods Restoration Project, along with pieces created for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I love collaborating with conservation organizations, native plant societies, land trusts, and educational publishers who need artwork that’s both scientifically grounded and genuinely inviting.
Alongside this focus, I also create Judaica themed illustration for clients like Hadassah Magazine, Tablet Magazine, and American Greetings - work that reflects my Jewish heritage and spiritual life.
If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to hear from you - reach out anytime!
